CHANDIGARH: Members of TOI's "Rise Up" campaign reached the popular 'geri route' on Tuesday afternoon and camped at the Chandigarh tourism department's cafA© in front of Government College of Art in Sector 10.
Tuesday was the seventh day of the campaign a??- launched to encourage the city voters to exercise their right a?? and saw around 250 youngsters take an oath to participate in the Lok Sabha elections and vote for the right candidate.

Many youths came forward and showed interest in the cause of voting.
"Vote for your right", "Vote for your future", "Vote to bring a change", "Youngsters go forward and cast your vote" were some of the inspiring comments they wrote.
Veerpal Kaur Sandhu, 23, a resident of Mohali, wrote on the board, "Bad people are elected by the good people who do not vote".
Sandhu, who has voted twice in civic body elections and will vote for the first time in Lok Sabha polls, said, "Everyone should come forward and vote. For, then only, we can bring a change."
Upkar Singh Brar, 25, a resident of Phase IV, Mohali, said, "I will be voting for the first time this Lok Sabha elections. I, along with my group, have been staging plays to motivate people to exercise their right. I am quite happy to support TOI's campaign, which is doing a good job in creating awareness. Youngsters will benefit if they vote."
